I took Gerris, my 2002 XR650L dual-purpose “dirt bike” to my annual church retreat and she was a lot of fun. Now that I have accrued some serious hours in the saddle, the hours at 70-80mph on VA 66W to I-81S were fine and not exhausting. I plugged in to music using my last set of Etymotic ER6i headphones and jammed. She was happy to arrive at Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs, Virginia, and into the woods where she belongs.
It was a church retreat so you’ll see an actual Bible right behind the gas tank. It was all to attend a weekend church retreat with members of my parish, Trinity Episcopal Church, in Arlington, Virginia. Shrine Mont is an amazing retreat space. I popped from my cabin to the classroom and the rest of the grounds on my bike (should have hiked and walked, I guess, there was a lot of rich food there) and realized that my moto has a dedicated Bible-holder:
